The AIG Women’s Open will be held in St. Andrews, the home of golf, from August 21-25, 2024.

This is the third time the iconic Old Course has hosted the prestigious event.

American Stacey Lewis, the 2013 champion, made two consecutive birdies to take the lead at 8 under.

“I love this golf course more than any other links course I’ve played,” she said.

“I think the history is more important than anything because all the great champions have played here. This is where golf started.” ”

Lorena Ochoa was the first player to win the tournament at St. Andrews in 2007.

The Mexican star took the lead on the 9th hole of the opening round and finished four shots behind the rest of the field at 5 under.

Since its inception in 1976, the AIG Women’s Open has been held at 19 different venues, but perhaps none is as revered as the famous St. Andrews Golf Course.


World Class Golf

World No. 1 Nelly Korda will lead a field of 144 players in the battle for the coveted AIG Women’s Open trophy at one of golf’s most famous and popular courses.

Defending champion Lilia Vu, in-form Hannah Green and local favorite Charlie Hull will be among the top golfers entertaining fans over the four-day tournament.

This is the final major of the year to be held in the home of golf.
